man i've been married way too long to ever remember what 'dating' was even LIKE... but if I'd ever even conventionally 'dated' which I didn't, I think the perfect ending is one where you fall asleep reasonably confident that you didn't fuck anything up, but still have those butterflies in your stomach, and a smile on your face.
