What do you think about internet dating? Hopeless? Worth trying? If you are single, or were to become single, would internet dating be a viable option for you?

Personally I'd shy away from it if Dog forbid I were single again. I'm incredibly leery of even meeting people from the 'Net just as friends, let alone anything else. Too many bad experiences there. I know some people have had success with it, and all the best to them, but I've personally seen it destroy people's lives as well. *shrug* YMMV.
